Roy Bishop named BCS Diversity Champion

BCS Teacher Roy Bishop was named 2011 Diversity Champion along with other amazing people this morning. The recognition took place at The Community House in Birmingham, MI. (Roy is shown here with wife, Latoya Bishop)

Roy was voted BCS Diversity Champion due to his tireless support of students with special needs and his desire to break down barriers of race. Through classroom meetings and small group conversations, Roy strives to make sure all students are accepted and their differences appreciated. Using technologies and adaptations/modifications, Roy is a leader in affirming that every student can succeed, working during lunch to build relationships between special needs students and student mentors in a fun environment.
GREAT JOB Mr. Bishop!
Thank you for being a champion for diversity!
