W.A.G. March 12-16, 2012

March 11, 2012

Dear BCS Families,

Driving back from Flushing today down I-75 was a much needed reminder spring is coming and the sun is starting to shine! We lost an hour of sleep but it was well worth it after seeing two Robins playing a game of tag this morning. Those of you deciding to bring out your motorcycles today, thank you! It is always a reminder warmer days are ahead.

Next weekend, iBlast will take place on Sunday and the excitement is in the air! If you have not already “liked” the BCS facebook page, check it out to see what iBlast items are available to bid on. The Blast is not just for BCS families. Please spread the word to family and friends as we are gearing up for the most important event of the year here at BCS.

I would like to thank our parents and staff for their efforts and positive attitude to make this year’s iBlast one of the best fundraisers in BCS history! We are excited to bring former families, present families, and incoming families together for one great cause!

See you on Sunday, March 18th from 3:30-7:30 p.m. here at BCS!

G.E.E.K.ed about the iBlast,

Adam

The BIG EVENT we've been waiting for all school year is finally almost here! BCS iBlast! 2012!

The Blast team has been working hard all year to make this the best and most successful Blast ever. We have some incredible Silent Auction items this year and 4 really cool Raffle items. We have the usual hallway games and inflatables for the kids to enjoy throughout the day.

Some of the Blast Packets went out late due to a shortage of Raffle Tickets. Everyone should have theirs by now. Because of this we are extending our deadline for Family Patrons to Monday, March 12th. The deadline for pre-ordering Chicken Dinners is Wednesday. Don't be late and miss out on these delicious meals. Get your order forms in NOW!

Last week your student should have brought home a bakery box to make it easier for you to donate baked goods for the Cake Walk. Cakes, Cookies, Brownies and Large Candy Bars are the kid's choice. Please contribute.

The Auction Booklet will be online again this year for your viewing, printing or downloading. There will also be a Check List of items you have an interest in to make it easier once you attend the Silent Auction. Please visit the Blast page under the PTSA tab at www.bcsonline.info for valuable information on BCS iBlast! 2012.

Help us make BCS iBlast! 2012 a success for our school and our children.

Please join us on Friday, March 16th, from 3:30 - 5:00pm for the Silent Auction Preview. Several items will have the "Buy Now" option.

BCS iBlast! 2012 is Sunday, March 18th, from 3:30 - 7:30pm. You won't want to miss this outstanding event at BCS.

See you there!

ATTENTION BCS FAMILIES! LAST WEEK FOR CLOSET CLEAN OUT DONATIONS!

Thanks so much to those of you who have already generously donated to the Closet Clean Out. If you are still looking to make some space in your closets we will be accepting donations through the end of the school day on Friday, March 16th.

You can bring your items to the “Closet Clean Out” bin placed just inside the office and we will collect and distribute them to the BCS Blast prize room. Anything we do not use will be delivered to a local children’s charity.

We are still looking for any unopened games, gadgets, toys or trinkets that you would like to get rid of for our BCS Blast prize room. Maybe you have a stash of never opened toys or "just in case" gifts or gift cards taking up way too much space in your closet. What a great way to do some house cleaning! Kids will be able to "purchase" these items in the prize room with the tickets they win at the BCS Blast. The 2012 Blast committee thanks you!
