BCS Staff Lead MLK Activities

(Top)
Rick Joseph, BCS 5-6 teacher, leads a discussion on how we must watch what we say and do as teachers, parents, and students when it comes to using words like gay or retarded.  The discussion was a powerful reminder of how we can make others feel bad by the words we choose.  Saying thats so gay is not OK.

(Bottom)
BCS 7-8 teachers Chris Emmi, Mat Brown and Roy McCloud help lead a fishbowl activity at Seaholm.  The panel included employees of different race and various backgrounds.  Key points: Listen to one another, relationships are key and value others' perspectives.

Other BCS staff leading MLK activities:
Tamra Nast, Counselor
Sheara Ferguson, Teacher
